Yucatan is located in the north portion of the peninsula, the State of Yucatan has 38,402 km2 of surface in Mexico with a population of approximately 1'658,210 inhabitants. Yucatan limit to the north with the Gulf of Mexico; to the east and southeast with the State of Quintana Roo and to the southwest with the State of Campeche.
